Coffee Stout: Almost There

Stay warm little buddy.

Stay warm little buddy.

I perpetrated some carboy thievery yesterday and sampled some of my coffee stout. The ground beans have been mixing with the beer in secondary fermentation since last Wednesday.

Initial thoughts: AWESOME!

The coffee aroma was strong, but not in an overpowering way and gave a great java after taste.

I’m currently prepping two cases of bottles for bottling on Wednesday, which will have given this brew one full week in secondary.

As for picture, well, with it being winter I have moved fermentation and bottling conditioning operations to the upstairs office where it is always at least 68 degrees. The blanket provides the darkness and of course, that tender love that every brew needs.
